To hold a local 800 Set Model Building classification is one of my proudest achievements. To be able to build a model of a set, and then go on to art direct that set as it is built, helps tremendously to create the world inside the set.
One thing I believe sets me apart from others is my process. I start by photographing and surveying locations -no location too large, oftentimes full streets or towns. I then spend time Photoshopping and scaling the photos into a buildable scale, which I then turn into a physical model.
My love of construction allows me to enjoy the hours and hours of fine detail work, and I have a full shop equipped with 3D printers, a CNG, a laser cutter, and a hot wire. These are just my fancy tools on top of a full wood and miniature building shop.
